Become a Member

Join the Union of Local Youth Councils in Finland (Nuva ry)! As a member, you will:

• Grow as an influencer together with us.
• Receive discounted participation fees for our national events and the option to apply for financial support for event fees.
• Get discounts on youth council training if all participants are Nuva ry members.
• Have the right to influence the work of Nuva ry and contribute to promoting youth participation.
• Gain opportunities to advance youth participation across Finland through various events and workshops.
• Join a community where you can make lifelong friends, valuable contacts, and have your voice heard.

Membership costs €25 per calendar year, valid from January to December. Members receive an invoice for the current year at the beginning of the year. New members receive an invoice upon joining.

Municipalities Can Cover Membership Fees

Municipalities must notify Nuva ry annually—and whenever new youth councillors join—if they will pay the membership fees. The local youth council supervisor or other person responsible for invoicing can report the fees.

Invoices for municipalities are issued weekly based on the notifications received. Without a notification, we cannot know which members’ fees are covered. Nuva ry does not automatically receive local youth council membership information without a separate notification from the municipality.

In addition to the municipal notification, each new member must complete a membership application. Returning members do not need to reapply each year.
